Collaboration with Lily Pearmain

After working in ceramics for nearly five years I have always been impressed and in awe of those who have the skill and strength to make work on the wheel. While teaching myself at Turning Earth in East London, I came across the work of Lily Pearmain and couldn’t wait to meet her and find out more about her practice. Lily creates sculptural pieces using simple forms and completes her work with minimal glazing. I have always been unusual amongst ceramicists as I actually prefer the glazing to working with the wet clay. Collaborating with Lily on a limited collection of ten vases and ten bowls was a great experience to create twenty unique objects glazed with some of my favourite designs.
