Frances Costelloe for Fielden Whisky x Groundswell Festival

Following her successful collaboration with Fielden Whisky at the Chelsea Flower Show, Frances was invited to create one more piece for the wild grown whisky company. This time, the design would appear on a tea towel for Groundswell Agriculture Festival in July.

Following her successful collaboration with Fielden Whisky at the Chelsea Flower Show, Frances was invited to create one more piece for the wild grown whisky company. This time, the design would appear on a tea towel for Groundswell Agriculture Festival in July.

The Groundswell Festival celebrates regenerative agriculture and brings together farmers, growers, and land managers who are working to restore soil health and biodiversity. It was a natural fit for Fielden Whisky, a company committed to wild growing practices, and for Frances, whose work is deeply rooted in the natural world.

When Frances finally received her copy of the finished tea towel for her archive, she was delighted with how the design translated onto textile. There's something particularly satisfying about seeing artwork brought to life on fabric, where it becomes both functional and beautiful. Though designed as a practical kitchen item, this piece feels too special to use. Frances thinks it deserves a frame instead, a testament to how a humble tea towel can become something worthy of display when thoughtful design meets quality craftsmanship.

The collaboration represents the ongoing relationship between Frances and Fielden Whisky, two brands united by their commitment to celebrating the natural world and supporting sustainable practices in agriculture and design.
