Frances Costelloe is an artist, illustrator and garden designer based in London. She works across a variety of mediums to create unique objects and spaces made to last. The natural world inspires her practice: from the science and artistry of planting design to organic line drawings and handmade ceramics.
Art & Illustration
Working primarily in Indian ink, alongside watercolour, pastels and charcoal. Once a line is drawn there is no going back, the same discipline as the dipping glaze used on ceramics. Recurring motifs, classical forms, the face, tulips, shells, run through prints, homeware and collaborations.
Garden Design
Bespoke planted spaces across London and beyond, from small urban courtyards to larger family gardens. A full design service, from initial concept through to planting plans, for private clients looking for gardens that feel considered and natural in their setting.
